Following the success of previous Long Cane Rallies, excitement is already building for the 2026 event. The Long Cane Fun Walk continues to be a highlight on the calendar, bringing together blind and visually impaired participants, their families, Orientation and Mobility Practitioners, volunteers, and supporters in a celebration of independence, confidence, and achievement.
The Long Cane Rally 2024
This year promises another inspiring day of camaraderie, awareness, and empowerment as participants demonstrate the skills that enable them to navigate their communities with confidence. The event will once again showcase the importance of Orientation and Mobility training and the life-changing impact it has on the lives of blind and visually impaired South Africans.
We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new participants as we continue to celebrate freedom of movement, resilience, and the spirit of inclusion that lies at the heart of the Long Cane Fun Walk.
Together we continue to demonstrate that blindness need not limit independence, and that with the right skills and support, freedom of movement is possible for everyone.
